This article i made is for all mothers out dear and to those woman who have plan to get pregnant, A very simple article but hopping it can help to those people need it. What is postpartum hemorrhage? Refers to excessive blood loss during or after the third stage of labor. The accepted normal average blood loss is 500 ml at vaginal delivery, and 1000 ml at cesarean delivery. Types of Postpartum Hemorrhage Early postpartum hemorrhage > Occurs during the first 24 hours after delivery >The common causes; Uterine atony laceration of birth canal inversion of the uterus. Late Postpartum Hemorrhage > Occurs from 24 hours after birth to 1 weeks postpartum. >the common causes are; Retained placental Fragments. Sub-involution of the uterus. Infection Assessment of Blood loss and hemorrhage Monitor how many maternal pads will use Monitor vital signs if you can. Consult the health care provider as soon as possible Remember; Blood losses is one of the reason why maternal death is high. thank you and enjoy
