Prenatal care or antenatal care refers to the health care given to a woman during pregnancy. when you pregnant you need to go to the doctor or a medical personnel to make sure you and your baby are safe and to be prepared for the labor soon. The primary goal of prenatal care is to provide maximum health to expectant mother and their baby. *GOALS OF PRENATAL CARE To ensure a healthy and uncomplicated pregnancy and the delivery of a healthy infant. To identify and treat high risk conditions To assist the patient for her preparation for labor, delivery and puerperium To screen and identify risk factor or diseases that may affect the mother and the infant health and life To assist the patient for her preparation for labor. PRENATAL VISIT: At least 8 visit during her pregnancy in order to reduced maternal mortality rate. It is very important to prevent problems and complications during pregnancy, labor and postpartum. At least one visit for the first and second trimester and at least two visit in the third trimester. * STEPS IN PRENATAL CARE Assess client history, include name, age, address, civil status and others Determine gravidity, parity and T-PAL scoring Compute Expected date of delivery Compute age of gestation Conduct physical examination Lab test request and result NOTE: You must need build rapport to the patient to make them comfortable to tell all they all even in emotional and physiological problems because it can effect to the baby as well,

Nung nabuntis ako ang dami ko ding pinagdaanan, kompleto sa check up pro madaming trials..i was just thankful na worth it lahat ng sakripisyo ko dahil healthy c baby..
yan naman ang impotante ang healthy kayo pariho ng bata, sobrang hirap talaga mag buntis imagine 9 months mong dala dala at my GOD ANG pag labor, maybe next time gaw ako ng artcle about labor
