“The rejection of abaca is a national disgrace considering what it means to the world and to this country. Abaca is our premier fiber, the most resilient fiber in the world. It is the strongest, the most durable of natural fibers. It is inflammable and that is why it is used in cars and in cell phones, among its many other uses. It is able to withstand the effects of water without deteriorating.
