Hello, Noisers! I'm reading the comments to the post I made yesterday about my new noisy neighbor and I think I should give a little context about that situation and how these things work here in my country: They are not actually living there. One of my neighbors is renting them a place so they can have their store. And weeks ago they installed the speakers and started listening to music so loud that inside my house we couldn't hear anything else, not even what we speaked. So I had to go there and I talked to a woman and textually told her: "Hi, uhmm, you know, I live in the next house and I wanted to tell you that the music is interferring with my online class. I can't hear my professor. And my mother —who is a professor too— cannot communicate with her students either. So, could you please turn it down a little? Believe me, I know it's boring to be here all day, but... 😅". At that moment she seemed to be ok with that and turned OFF the speakers. But a few hours later, her husband came back to the store and I supposed she might have told him about what happened. Well, he turned on the speakers and turned the music up much louder than before. And, not being satisfied with it, the man started bothering me (and sometimes to my mother) every time I go out of the house, especially when I go jogging and I have to pass in front of them; throwing the smoke from his cigar in my direction and singing out loud verses of the song he was hearing. The situation continued for several days until we decided to speak with the owner. But he wasn't home, so my mother spoke to her wife instead. She told my mom that they were aware of the noise, and that she and her son couldn't be at peace inside her house either. But they had warned to that people several times and they just ignored them. She also told her "that man is violent..." The third time, my mother called the owner to his cellphone and he told her the same thing and added that if we must go to the police, he would totally agree. 🙄 Last week they didn't opened the store and we thought they were gone. They don't have much sells anyway. But this week they came back and, well, this happened 👉https://noise.cash/post/zxw935gfpx92 Today I went to the prosecutor's office with my mother to file a complaint. So, now you know why I was so upset yesterday. It is not that easy just to put on a pair of hearphones and ignore them. The most frustrating thing is that the average citizen in my country has that kind of annoying behavior. People here are not used to call the police in those cases, because the offender just have to mock the officers and they will go. Also, most people don't want to engage in a legal paperwork by going to the prosecutors. Anyway. This post has already gotten quite long and sad. I'll make it up to you by showing you my Christmas decorations, it is almost finished. Late but beautiful. 😂😂😂 #english #wemakenoise
