**Drug resistance:** **Define**: When the MIC level of a drug is exceed >10 times than the original MIC for a susceptible organism just to inhibit their growth, then the bacteria are said to be resistant to that drug. **Prevention of drug resistance:** 1.Restricting the drug and use appropriate antibiotic after C/S 2.Avoidance of indiscriminate 3.use of antibiotic Use of antibiotic in appropriate dose and for proper duration 4.Constant monitoring in resistant cases both inhospital & community. 5.Using antimicrobial combination in appropriate circumstances eg TB. 6.Limitation of the use of newer antibiotic so long as the currently use drug are effective.

Drug resistance is important issue as we do not properly maintain dosage and indication of drugs and we often used to buy medicine without medical consultation. Thanks to share it.

Drug failed to reach the target If the target is intracellular and drug requires active transport to cross the membrane. -a mutation that stop this transporter & cause resistance .e.g. gentamicin/AminoGlycoside Aminoglycoside need 02 dependent transporter to enter the cell, so if muted to the transporter occurs, then develops Resistance.

it is an important issue now a days. I have seen many times that children are restricted to some of antibiotics. we need the complete the dose schedule.
So we should counsel people as much as we can.this is the onle way to get ride of it
Last year, I heard about a 10 month old baby was resistance to almost all antibiotics.this is really matter of sorrow

This depends on the microbiology c/s results.. also That is why correct drug monitoring per Orem Or other routes should be practiced by the nurses checked by the physician and should be implemented Also to prevent Mrsa for example..

People these days are taking antibiotics like vitamins. They arent even following dose dosage and indication. Pharmacy should have better policy not to sell antibiotics without prescription.

i don't agree with your opinion about Pharmacist. As you will see most of the medicine shop is maintained by local shopkeepers. They have no any pharmacological knowledge.

Nowadays it is the most important issue. Specially antibiotics resistance. We don't take antibiotics at proper time that's why we suffering from antibiotics resistance problem😥
