Aeessui week- Day 1
AEESSUI is the acronym for Agricultural and environmental engineering students' society, University of Ibadan. Today is the 1st day of AEESSUI WEEK 2021. **Date**: **4th October 2021** **Time: 10 am** **Venue: NLNG 3** **Dress code: Corporate**
**Theme**: Agricultural and environmental engineering day. We started by singing the National anthem to show respect to our country. Then the University of Ibadan Anthem. Today we talked about the industry called Agricultural and Environmental Engineering. Three Speakers were present.
**The first speaker** She talked on bridging the gap between school and the industry. She laid emphasis on the job opportunities for Agricultural engineers. Also she talked about Agriculture in Nigeria as a whole. The import rate and export rate of fqtm products in Nigeria.
**Fun Quizzes** After the First speaker finished his teaching, we played ***Kahoot games***. According to kahoot.it *Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to create, share and play learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes. Unleash the fun in classrooms, offices and living rooms!* The game made the day interesting. About 64 participants connected to the game. Twelve quizzes were given. The fastest person to answer all wins the prize. I did my best but finally I ended up in the 5th position.
**Second speaker** He spoke about **TOG (Tractors on the go)**. TOG is a platform created to help farmers with agricultural machines. It can be ordered on a mobile device. All ymwe have to do is Install the TOG world app on Playstore Sign up and register Customize your services Place your order He lectured more on the importance of TOG. He said TOG also operates by integrating the servicesof Agric experts and farm machinery TOG OFFERs Tractor hailing service Equipment maintenance Tractor leasing serbh u Open an Agric logistics asset TOG IMPACTS TOG has reached more than 1.5milliion farmers since the few years it was established. 0ver 500 Villages in 22 states across Nigeria. 314 farm services. 170+ agents.
A farm product company **FARM PRIDE** was present. They gave each and everybody present a product each. Prizes were given to the Kahoot quiz winners. Menu! Menu!! Menu!!! The vote of thanks was said by the chairperson of 2021 AEESSUI WEEK. **N:B** Covid 19 protocols were duly observed 😷 **Thanks for reading 🙏💓**

These made me remember my University days. The department, faculty, halls and Student Union weeks are always fun to witness.
We played that Kahoot game in my church once on our social media sunday. You surely enjoyed the seminar.
The game was an interesting one, I hope we another of it's kind before the end of the week
