Learning french
*Bonjour a tous, comment allez-vous ? Maintenant que j'apprends le francais a l'universite, j'ai decide de parler un peu avec vous.* You might be wondering what that means, don't mind I'm just trying to show off my skill in speaking french. The above means; *Good day everyone, how are you doing? Now that I'm learning french, I decided to speak some with you people*. Learning French isn't an easy thing, especially when you have to learn it within a short period. I only knew the numbers from ***Un*** to ***vingt (1 to 20)*** alphabet from ***à to z*** and that is because I was taught In primary school. Yesterday was the first physical lecture we will be receiving on French. All this while we've only been listening to voice notes by the tutor. Everything sounded strange yesterday when she started teaching us.
She tried her best to teach us, but it wasn't easy to learn the way she thought. Some set of people in the class were cracking jokes by saying words that doesn't exist in French. Like she taught us, ***Lé*** is used for males, ***La*** Is used for females and ***Les*** is the plural form. She gave examples like Le pere - Father Le Frere- Brother La chaise- Chair La Maison- House. She then asked us to give examples like such in french. We just heard a voice from the back **La'casera**, **la'sisi** another person from the back shouted **Lacasa de Papel**, **La'dipoe**. We all burst into laughter, as in what the... She got angry and told us to tear a sheet of paper for a test. She frowned and wrote 3 questions on the board **The questions were** ***En 60 mots, décrivez Votre ami*** (In 60 words describe your friend) ***Quand est l'indépendance du Nigeria?*** (When did Nigeria gain her independence) ***Énumérer 5 modes de transport*** (list 5 modes of transportation) The whole class was silent, we couldn't even translate the question, except the one that has Nigeria and Independancé, it is obvious the question is when did Nigeria gain her independence? For the first question, it took about 5 minutes before I could write a sentence to describe my friend. And we were told to write nothing less than 60 words. It is better to write something than leave it undone. Below was what I wrote `Mon Ami est Favour, Mon Ami la petit (petit means small and it is used for males). Mon Ami pere la professor la université( his dad is a Lecturer in the University)` I knew what I wrote wasn't so correct, but at least I did my best. She collected the script after 30 minutes we started. She saw a script and burst into laughter, the whole class joined her to laugh without knowing what made her laugh. Do you believe in the 3rd question where she told us to list 5 modes of transportation, some people wrote ***la'car, la'train, la'camel, la'aeroplane,*** and other funny words. Till she finished the class that day, we were just laughing and speaking french (incorrect french) to each other. Calling each other ***La'Abhay, La'Victor, La'Samuel.*** Henceforth call me **La'Abhay. 😆😆la'**@NativeRookie and **la'**@Ehiz can relate. **Conclusion:** *Let me know your thoughts about this. Was french also compulsory for you to learn in schoo*l? Thanks for reading ❤️🙏 Merci.

French?🧐 In my secondary school days, we were Forced to learn French, though it was in out curriculum but it was a force to us, nobody liked the subject. One funny and painful event happened one day. The French teacher engaged us in a long duration lecture, it was how to read time we were learning. After some hours, the teacher noticed that most of us were not concentrating anymore so he asked that if anyone is tired, he/she should excuse the class. I and my friends became scared Because things like that is a trap, so we stayed while others left. The teacher threw a question to the remaining members, we were unable to produce the answer and the student flogged the hell out of us and the people that excused us laughed at us. 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha. Funny story 🤣🤣 When we were in secondary school we were given options to learn french or Spanish. I opted for Spanish so I know a little bit of it.
