WHO IS JESUS?Mark 8:27-38
If I were to walk down the street and ask the question: “Who is Jesus?” I’m sure I’d get all types of answers.
Some won’t know much about him. Some will be angry about all the wrong things which have been done in Jesus’ name. Some only know him as a swear word. While others might speak more favorably about him.
You'd think within Christian circles, such as if I were to walk up and down the aisle here and ask each of you the same question about who Jesus is, that I'd get a consistent answer, but this probably wouldn't be true.
You see, for some Christians, Jesus is the best ‘go to’ guy for good advice. For others, he's the one you go to in order to get fixed or healed or made whole. Some think he's the one to go to in order to get some good news so you can feel good about yourself. For others he’s a friend you can always turn to because he promises to always be there for you. Some think he’s a holy man, a spiritual guru, a loving shepherd for wayward sheep, or a teacher. Some might look to him as their ethical and moral compass and try to copy or emulate his example. Others reckon he’s their King, their Saviour, and their champion. He’s also a forgiver, a cleanser, and a redeemer. He’s the one you want on your side.
Now, there’s truth in each of these descriptions, but that’s not what Jesus tells us about himself today. And if we really want to know who Jesus is, then we should take notice of what he says about himself!
So, who is Jesus—according to Jesus?
Well, right after Peter’s bold confession that Jesus is the Christ, which meant he’s the promised Messiah whom the whole Jewish nation has been waiting for over many generations; Jesus boldly told them he’s going to suffer, be rejected by religious leaders, be killed, and then rise again.
So, according to Jesus’ own words, who is Jesus? He’s one who suffers. He’s one who is abused and persecuted. He’s one who is abandoned and insulted. He’s one who is betrayed, scorned and discarded by people who confess faith in God. He’s also a victim of horrific cruelty and death despite his innocence. He's also one who will live again after dying.
There is a symbol in many churches which reflects this particular picture of Jesus. It’s called a crucifix which depicts Jesus’ own description of him suffering and dying for us on the Cross.
When you look at the crucifix, it’s not the usual picture of strength or power or might or glory. It’s not a picture which sits comfortably in a world where children are taught to look to, and emulate, the mighty heroes from Harry Potter, Marvel studios, Star Wars, or even Disney. Jesus on the Cross is not cute, cuddly, attractive, or even acceptable in a politically correct world.
Yet this is who Jesus says he is! He’s one who cares so much for us he willingly suffers and dies for us!
But, if this is who Jesus is, then he’s hardly the type of person we want to follow (or want our children to follow), especially if we want to be successful, popular, or attractive according to the world’s standards!
To follow someone who suffers for the sake of others, allows people to abuse him, doesn’t retaliate when people are violent or lying about him, and who will even lay down his life so that criminals can receive pardon and freedom, well, that doesn’t sound like someone most people would want to follow!
So, it’s no wonder Peter attempts to tell Jesus off!
After all, Peter’s already abandoned his fishing career to follow Jesus, and this is what’s in store for him? Peter doesn’t want to follow a loser! In the same way, we don’t want to follow a loser either!
But this is who Jesus is – a loser. Jesus is the One who loses face; the One who loses dignity; and the One who loses his life. And he loses all these things for our sake.
But what’s more, if we want to follow him, then that’s what we’re also going to be in the eyes of most people: a loser, because followers of Jesus will also deny their own selfish instincts in order to put other people first like Jesus did!
It’s no accident this text sits right in the middle of Mark’s gospel account of Jesus’ life. It’s the key to understanding who Jesus is and what it means for us in our life of faith.
The uncomfortable question is: If this is who Jesus is and what he expects of us (because he also expects us to deny ourselves and our own desires for the sake of others), then do we follow him or not?
He tells his followers to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow him. This isn’t easy!
Thinking about each of these things in turn, to deny ourselves is to deny our own selfish human nature, after all, most of what we do is all about ourselves!
Why do we have arguments at school or at home? Because each person is trying to get what they want for themselves. Why do children throw tantrums? Because they want to get something for themselves. Why do we have political games? Because people are trying to save or improve their own position. Why do we have road rage? Because people are angry they didn’t get their own right of way.
Its human nature to want to impose ourselves and our own wants and desires on each other as if “I’m the god you should obey!”
Jesus’ answer to our human problem of selfishness is his own selflessness. Everything he did was never for himself. Because he loves us all so much, he suffered and died for us to take the punishment for our selfishness. He paid the price so that we would be forgiven and no longer need to make up for all the times we hurt him (or those around us) as a result of our own self-centeredness.
When he tells his followers to deny themselves, he’s calling us to love those around us more than we love ourselves. This doesn’t mean we always give them what they want (because that would only encourage them to become more selfish and self-centered), but instead we’re willing to serve them with what they need – love, forgiveness, compassion, and a justice which mirrors the life of Jesus.
When one becomes a follower of Jesus who denies oneself and their own egocentric desires, it will mean the sacrificing of some of our own things for the sake of others.
In this case, we don’t need to hang on a cross like Jesus did, but as we learn to love others more than ourselves (because this is what Jesus does for us), then it will feel as if part of our own selfish nature is suffering and dying for the sake of someone else.
We’ll feel as if we have our own cross to bear when we stay and help mum with the dishes instead of going off to play. We’ll feel the pain of self-denial when we help our children with homework or say bed time prayers with them instead of watching our favorite television program.
We’ll experience heartache as we choose not to punish someone for the pain they caused us and instead forgive them.
We’ll experience persecution from our own family members when we choose to follow Jesus by attending worship services when we (or they) would rather be somewhere else.
We’ll feel as if part of us is dying when we put our own selfish desires to death for the sake of those around us.
While many people will have their own ideas and pictures of who Jesus is and what he does, what Jesus describes to us today about himself is one of the most shocking and disturbing!
On the other hand, it’s also Jesus at his most loving as he sacrifices himself for us so we may all receive God’s radical justice of forgiveness, life, and salvation. He does all this, not because any of us deserve it, but because this is who he is: loving, faithful, patient, compassionate, and selfless.
What a selfish and uncaring world needs right now isn’t more self-centeredness (or even more laws to restrict people’s egocentricity), but it needs more followers of Jesus who will love and care and serve others selflessly like he did.
Jesus tells us what it cost him to love us so selflessly. The twist is: to accept his love, trust him in return, and to love others as yourself, will also come at a cost to us as we follow him into his life of selflessness.
This is because, the more we get to know the nature and work of Jesus, the more we will get to know our own nature and the nature of those around us. But as we learn to trust the words and work of Jesus, as we bathe in his baptismal waters and receive his holy body and blood in the Lord’s Supper, his own nature will rub off on us and help us to be selfless as well.
So, as we take up our cross to follow Jesus, may the peace of God, which surpasses all human understanding, guard our hearts and minds in the sacrificial love of Christ Jesus. Amen.
“Ano bang sinasabi mo diyan?
Toti halika at tayo’y maglakad lakad.
“Minahan diba delikado iyon?”.
“ Oo anak kaya’t mas pipiliin kong ayusin at alagaan an gating mga pananim” sabi mg kanyang itay.
Cellphone: am I careless or did it really just happen
Ever since the pandemic happened, department of education officials were aware of the challenges brought by blended learning to both learners and educators. But it was deemed to be better to have blended learning than having nothing as the pandemic forced students to stay at home.
I am a first year college student taking Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and opening new doors in my journey is quite difficult. I didn’t know what would happen in my college considering college life is different from highschool life. It's more serious and important in our future career. It's our stepping stone for the better and stable life. But we cannot denied the fact that we need to engage ourselves in the situation brought by the pandemic.
`Mabalik tayo sa topic`
I don't really need a new phone, but in an unexpected incident my phone is broken and my studies still on going. Here's the story behind that hhahaha napaka epic.
My brother is a Sk Kagawad he ask me to drive him to our Brgy. Captain because he need his signature for some important documents. I refuse it for his first call coz I'm playing mobile games that time, but my brother forced me since he didn't know how to drive a tricycle so I have no choice. While I was preparing the tricycle, I suddenly put my cellphone on top of the tricycle and then I turned on the tricycle I forgot my cellphone up there, in the middle of my trip something suddenly fell and my cellphone got the one that fell, I don't know what to do when I saw it (nakataob kasi yung phone pinagdadasal ko sanang hindi basag yung harap) then I took the cellphone on the road and the I started to cry. Hahaha.
When we got home I was angry with my brother I blamed him for everything. That if he hadn't called me and if he hadn't ask me to drive him there my cellphone wouldn't have been damaged. But he just said that I neglected it and I'm careless. (Hindi naman daw siya yung naglagay sa naglagay Ng phone sa taas grabe Ang iyak ko that time hahahaha). Hahaha but he also has a point, I shouldn't blame him because I'm the one who's wrong, but because of my temper it's inevitable to utter bad words my emotions bring me to this.
And this is not the first time I broke my phone. I think is my Fourth n times hahaha my first is
***Nokia express*** music Ang una Kong phone haha pamana ni papa na alala ko na ito yung una Kong ginamit makipaglandian sa text dati haha I just remembered hindi nalang siya gumana.
I remember my new touch screen phone gave my mom when she's working overseas Its ***Microsoft phone*** haha naghaharutan kami Ng mga friend ko tas nasa bulsa ko pala ayun nabasag haha.
***Samsung S3*** is my third phone na binigay naman Ng close friends ko hahaha medyo RK yun eh nasa US mga magulang kaya maraming cellphone haha naawa siya sakin wala akong magamit kaya binigay niya sakin Yun. Pero nasira din siya haha nahulog sa kanal hahaha nakipag ODL (One Day League) volleyball kasi kami that time pauwi noon naglalakad at hawak ko ito then nasagi nung kalaro ko yung kamay ko nalaglag hahaha. Kinuha namin haha gumana Ng ilang araw bumigay din.
Highschool Completers ako and with honor and maraming award. So my Grandfather from Canada gave me an **Iphone 5s** tuwang tuwa ako.
And recently I need to make money to buy new phone on my own. Nagtinda ako Ng mga street food like ; fish balls, kikkiam, siomai, siopao, burger and bbq. Nagpatay rin ako Ng repa also known as raffle. At yung makaipon nako I ask my former teacher also my closest one na gamitin yung home credit niya para makakuha ako Ng new phone kasi on going na yung pasukan that time.
So Nabili ko itong new Phone ko bagong unit ng Oppo, Oppo A94 na nagcocost Ng almost php. 14,000 ($280) since hulugan ito nag down ako Ng 4,500 and every month ko is 1,659 matatapos na ko sa November malapit lapit na at wala Ng masiyadong iisipin. I also want to acknowledge ate @charmingcherry08 for recommending these plat forms @noise.cash and @Read.Cash now I can earn money at may panghulog nako sa new phone ko big help ito sakin.
**Lesson I've learned**
We will appreciate the One thing more when we are the ones who work hard to get it.
Pandemic, affecting Agricultural sectors in PH...
Agricultural marketing
As 21st century continues to flow, our economy faces numerous changes and challenges particularly in the sector of Agriculture. Climate change is one of the reasons on the change of production of goods for the consumers. For example, in January 12, 2021, 11.2 degrees celsius was the recorded temperature in the city of Baguio that caused frost and covered vegetables in Atok, Benguet. Another natural phenomena that disrupts crop production are El Niño that creates water shortages and La Niña causing water abundance including flooding. Water shortages reduce crop planting areas, delay planting seasons and generally lower crop yields. Just like what happened since 2015, more than 40 percent of the Philippines experiencing severe drought triggered ny El Niño, causing the loss of agriculture production amounting 3.9 billion pesos (82million US dollars) .
Weather is not the only factor that affects the agricultural marketing. We can also say that this pandemic brought a huge impact to crop industry's movement. On the second quarter of 2020 the movement of crops and goods from suppliers from different provinces was stopped due to border lockdowns . The price of tomatoes dropped dramatically to only P2 to P5 per kilo from previous P15 to P30 due to lack of buyers after the supply chain was affected by Covid-19 pandemic in June, 2020.
In today's generation we always connect Global warming and climate change on these consistent events affecting agricultural marketing. It's not new to us to see bunch of vegetables covered with ice and a dried farmland with dead crops. Let us not deny that even man made situations such as Pandemics can affect the services of agricultural marketing like planning, organizing, directing and handling of agricultural produce. This is the reality that we must accept. These are not just the problems that we might face along the way.
Acceptance is one of the first thing that we should have. Accept that this is the consequence of the irresponsible human activities that makes us suffer nowadays. But let us also be courageous and strong. Let's be brave enough to discover more and end these challenges in our food production. Be one of the reasons on making new platforms in upgrading the quality of food that we all deserve.
Agriculture remains of crucial importance in the Philippine economy, albeit its relative contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) has been declining over the years (E.O. Brown et al, 2018). The government plays a great role in maintaining balance in the said sector for they are the authority controling it's price range. One of it's ways to control this is the price ceiling.
It is a maximum price that government imposes in order to keep the price of "some" necessary good or service affordable. To be particular, if the market suppliers and sellers imposes a higher price to a certain product, the are the ones who go in the middle to settle it.
On the month of February 2021, Duterte released an executive order mandating a price ceiling on pork and chicken. The president mandated this because pork price soared because too many people in the supply chain want a cut. For example, middleman gets pork straight from the pig farm at Php 230 per kilo. Then, they seek a Php 40-cut so they deliver to public markets at a wholesale price of Php 270 to Php 280. So, retailers pencil in a aprofit margin of at least Php 50, bumping up the price to Php 330 a kilo and exceeding Duterte's price cap of Php 270 to Php 300 per kilo. A lot of aspects affect the meat price in the Philippines ever since the Pandemic started.
Since July 25, 2019, Department of agriculture confirmed 20 ASF outbreaks in 4 provinces/city on Luzon island and 20,000 pigs have been culled.
Price ceiling
Price ceiling made a remark in every suppliers, middleman, resellers, retailers and consumers for it controls the movement of market equilibrium. It creates a minimum movement and control to the meat circulation in the country. Knowing that there are more effective and efficient ways to lower down the price, still they imposed this mandate. Price ceiling is not just the only way. It is anti-poor and an inconsiderate type of action. The government must create and think more ways of controling the meat production in the Philippines like giving farmers and hog raisers new piglets and affordable feeds. Also they can move the hogs directly from other provinces to the middleman or sellers to lessen their price cut. As price ceiling continues, the market shakes. Nobody should stop a continuous flow for it might get broken. The market is like a river that flows endlessly. If it is stopped, the water might overflow or gets dry. Price ceiling is not applicable in all situation and the government must know it.
Dinengdeng, My all time fav vegetable dish ...
Dinengdeng is a common dish of the Ilocano people. It is classified as a bagoong monamon soup based dish, . It is composed of different vegetables that are usually grown in one’s backyard. This dish has a similarity with bulanglang and laswa; the obvious difference of Dinengdeng is the use of fried or grilled fish. Another notable difference is the addition of “bagoong isda”.There's also many ways and ingredients how you cook Dinengdeng it depends on your preference.
Perks of living in province. You just have to look around and there are a lot of food you can cook and eat, especially vegetable. When I was a child it's hard for me to eat this kind of food but, my mom and dad always force me to eat vegetables, they always say that when I eat vegetables my life will be longer. But time is running, when I grow up I use to like it already and suddenly became my favorite.
How do we cook Dinengdeng...

Any variety of fish can be used; I typically use bangus (milk fish) and tilapia. On the side note, even though the fish is cooked, I recommend cooking it for a few minutes with the vegetables in order to add more flavor to the dish. Aside from being healthy, this dish is also easy to prepare. You should be ok as long as you know how to fry or grill fish and boil vegetables. It's simple don't be pressure it is the easiest one.

give yourself time and the space to feel, to shout, to cry, to be angry, to be confused, to grow and learn. give yourself space, it's okay. when things aren't going well, trust God for He has a greater purpose on that. hold on bit longer. pause, cry for while, then move again.
Forgive yourself, you are not perfect. Show yourself grace, you are still learning. Show yourself patience, you are on a journey. Life is too short to spend at war with yourself. Practice acceptance and forgiveness. Letting go of the past is your first step to happiness.

Forever grateful in my CHILDHOOD DAYS... Pre-school and Elem. Memories
Childhood days play a vital role in who I am today. Our childhood is the most enjoyable and memorable period of our life. It's the initial stage of life, and we can enjoy it whenever we choose. I grow up with lots of precious moments, unforgettable experience and overflowing love and support by the people in my soroundings especially the love of my parents. After all, this is the period that shapes the future.
*The part of my Childhood days*
I have an angelic voice, gift by our Lord God
I came in religious family my grandma and grandpa is a elder in our Church 'Methodist' a Christian church and I have a uncle and aunty that serves in the church they're Pastors and Deaconess. Church is the first place I learn how to sing. I remember when my mama brought me here every Saturday to have a practice since I am in the kids ministry. Every Sunday service Im always in the front line of the stage performing together with the other kids singing loudly and peacefully. I always recieve recognize and compliment of my church mate.
Through the Kids ministry I also learn how to dance and also to memorize bible verses. Growing up in a church is different. Sabi nga sa **Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."**
My first day in school my Nursery- Kindergarten are not easy.
`THE ADJUSTING MOMENT`
I remember when my mom convincing me in going to pre-school I always refuse her, I always cry and cry but she's always try to push me and used some soft word or giving me reward. She did many ways just to make me agree. One thing I loved the most when they buy me a set of toys of Power Rangers since I am addicted on it also they bought me some food in my favorite fast food restaurants (Jollibee) a spaghetti and fried chicken I also have Benten Bag also my favorite cartoon character. They bought me also school supplies and uniform. I'm so cheerful that moment and I want to use it already haha but my mom said I can use it only in school in short words, I agree and say "yes, mom I wanna go to school now".
`I just really amaze in this kind of parenting you don't need to force the child, you don't need to flog them or shout in your kid just to followed you. There's a many ways and best ways to make them obey you`.
What I like an love the most when I'm on Pre-school when we have a fieldtrip we go in many beautiful places in Luzon including: Manila Zoo, Luneta Park, Star City, Enchanted Kingdom, Ocean Adventure, Moa Arena, And many more tourist destination and school based places I just can't recall all of those. Hahaha Maalala ko pa Lagi kaming may dalang plastic haha lagi kasi akong nagsusuka. Ps.

***Our childhood days are incomplete if we don't experience it all. We have different stories during our childhood days and I know we all cherished this moment and always natatopic pagkasama natin ang mga childhood friends natin. Childhood experiences become lifelong memories that bring a smile to our faces every time we recall them. Because children do not grasp these things, only adults understand the true significance of childhood.***
***Nevertheless, we see how childhood memories mold our future. They do not certainly define us but they surely play a great role. It is not important that someone with traumatic childhood memories may turn out to be not well. People get past their traumatic experiences and grow as human beings. But, these memories play a great role in this process as well.***
I think you have a childhood memories that must be heard too 😉 .
I'm afraid to fail... But not afraid to try...
***Life may throw you hardships and problem. It may bring sadness and sorrows. It may discourage you to believe in yourself suddenly become a failure.***
We all encounter with it some in their work field, in their school sometimes relationship and in many different aspects. And this is true more commonly than not, we are terrible even entertaining the idea of failing.
Many of us face to this situation it can cause us to do nothing, and therefore we can't go forward either can't go further. But if we allow our fear in our mind it will and it can destroy our progress in life, our goals and even our dreams. We're probably miss some great and wonderful opportunities along the way.
Have you ever been so afraid of failing? Something that bother you not to try it all? Or you holding and undermined your own efforts, strength time and wisdom to avoid the possibility of failure? In this article, we will examine fear of failure based on my own and others experience. What It means, what causes it and how can you surpass it to celebrate true success in work, school relationship and in our life.
`Failure is defined as a lack of successor absence of success. This is a fairly general definition. It enables us to define success for ourselves so that we can determine whether or not we have succeeded. The main issue here is that most of us aren't particularly good at defining success. This could make us feel like failures when, in fact, we are the polar opposite-(Forbes.com)`
`Success is something you must define for yourself; no one can do it for you. Success may imply a sense of giving back to society and making a difference. It could imply a sense of accomplishment and career advancement. It may imply being able to do the things you enjoy.`
Causes of Failing
1**.Sometimes our dreams and our goals in life doesn't fit in our destiny**, may mga bagay tayo na minimithi natin pero hindi iyon ang nasusunod.
2. .**We experience failures because we don't believe in ourselves.** Tayo mismo hindi naniniwala sa sarili nating kakayanan, we compare ourselves to others. We always complain, we always doubt and hesitate kasi nga iniisip natin yung outcome.
3. **We all doing things in rush**, nagmamadali tayo sa kakamadali natin makapunta sa dulo bigla kang nadapa, there's always a process and let's stick to that there's always step by step procedure. Matoto tayong maghintay.
4. **We always want the easiest one, gusto** lang lagi natin yung pa petekspeteks lang hindi na tayo gumagawa Ng ibang paraan para matuto para mag try ng ibang bagay so that if the time come na Mahirap na yung dumating sa kalagayan natin bigat na bigay na tayo kasi na sanay tayo sa madali eh we don't even go out in our comfort zone.
Iilan lamang yan sa mga causes in terms of failing
How can we overcome failure
1. **Let's think about for whom we are fighting for (MOTIVATION)**, para kanino ba tayo lumalaban para sa mga mahal natin sa Buhay. Gawin natin silang inspirasyon para magpatuloy.
2. **Always believe in yourself(Self-Determination),** matoto tayong pahalagahan at mahalin Ang ating sarili, dahil kahit ano pamang kabiguan ang dumating your one self will find a solution.
3.**Change of plans, paths**, you must have many plans. Hindi pwedeng iisa lang ang iyong Plano maganda na 'yong may reserba ka because if you have another plan hindi ka mahihirapan mag adjust if ever na hindi man swertehen sa plan A.
4. **Patience** is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting, matuto tayong maghintay we don't need to rush because life isn't a race, you'll wait for your time hindi pwepwedeng hilaw kapa tapos pipitasin na doon ka lalong masisira.
5. **You should practice in systematic way**, there's always a proper process. Paghandaan mo ang Bawat progress.
6**.Open Mindset**, Maintain an open mindset in the face of adversity. Face them with self-assurance. Instead of clinging to them, learn from them. It’s a great modality to see yourself powerful and to visualize how far you have come and are going to go. It all depends on the mindset
Maybe you will notice I put more solution than causes it is because *****who practice multiple strategies and share solutions become more flexible and efficient in problem solving, and are more likely to see options when approaching a problem*****.
Never take your life for granted. Focus on all the positive and embrace it. Ignore the negative and be thankful for every single day. Let us not be bitter about the past about our failure, but let us keep our eyes firmly on the future on the brightest side. You can change your past, simply by changing your underlying perception about your past.Your past can only help you if you learn the lesson and move forward.

**Random Thought**
And always pray kasi at the end of the day, it is always God’s will and timing that will prevail 💖
A happy person is not a person who's always in a good situation, but rather a person who always has a good attitude in every situation. Enjoy the great times and make the bad times great. Your attitude determines everything. And I do believe that Life is 10% of what happens to us and 90% of how we react to them. It's your life and you own it so make it always as its best.
And Forgive yourself, you are not perfect. Show yourself grace, you are still learning. Show yourself patience, you are on a journey. Life is too short to spend at war with yourself. Practice acceptance and forgiveness. Letting go of the past is your first step to happiness.
Good evening everyone 😘
It's all about me.. and my roller coaster life......
Time flies too fast there's a lot of changes come, there's love ones gone, there's an opportunity that closed and there's some opened but what matters the most is we continue to survive.
I am Tom Abraham Ruelos, a loving, caring and responsible son and a friend. I was born on February 25, 2002, 2nd child of three siblings,
many said that the neglected child is always in the middle because the first born child is the one that there favorite and the last one is the one who needed more attention, in some point I feel that being alone, but my parents taught me that we're all the same.
My family is a simple family, I feel very lucky to be born in a family which has made me a better person who raised us in church. Families are a blessing not everyone is fortunate enough to have. However, those who do, sometimes do not value this blessing. Some people spend time away from the family in order to become independent.
But sometimes destiny is deceitful, my mom need to go abroad to provide our needs, to secure my future, without a mom is so hard we need to adjust we need to help each other by doing home chores and some stuff that a mother should do.Despite of that we understand the situation.
We as a children must do our best just to payoff all the hard works of my parents. I became consistent honor student when I was in Elementary-SHS and I am very active in my school I always represent my school in any contest.
I can sing, dance, cook, and a feature writer in journalism also in Radio broadcasting before. I also became a SSG President during my Jr. High I'm also a varsity player in the field of volleyball. Become a COC in CAT and also member of Boy Scout of The Philippines. My highschool life is the best thing that happened in my life. But also my worse ☹️.
But suddenly in unforeseen circumstances my mom got sick and my mom has to go home here in the Philippines for treatment, my mom diagnosed with Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune disorder in which antibodies destroy the communication between nerves and muscle, resulting in weakness of the skeletal muscles. Myasthenia gravis affects the voluntary muscles of the body, especially those that control the eyes, mouth, throat and limbs.(hopkinsmedicine.org.)
She's in the hospital at Lungs Center Of the Philippines for almost 1year and 4 month. We're so down, devastated and hopeless. But we continue to fight for her life we still believe that my mom will recover. But we cannot denied the fact that life is only borrowed from God. May 13, 2019 my mom died. Losing My Mother I can still remember vividly the day my mother passed away. My mother passed away at a critical point in my life when I was seventeen years old from a long term illness.
I don't know what to do during that time, I just want to be alone and cry so loud just to relieve the pain in my heart, but I need to accept the fact. For my dad, losing a life partner was extremely difficult, as I learned firsthand watching him trying to overcome those struggles. Having to learn a new “normal” without her there was now facing him every day but we realized we just only lose my mom we still have a father and we need to take care of him.
We're too young to experience this but it makes us strong and firm. I know my mom is happy right now she's no more in pain she's in the right place now and we never forget all the love, sacrifices and advices that she gave on us. I will cherish all the memories with her.
**Time is valuable, and when someone close to you passes away, you realize how valuable time is and how it should not be wasted ruminating on transient feelings that detract from the beauty of our life**.
