A difficult thing, inevitable change. You know, the kind of life changes you have very little, but mostly no control over... The kind that can wake you up at nights, wondering for a confused moment, who or what has been trying to press the very breath of life from your chest. I don't like any change that much. I don't resist it either too much ... not any more. But I know for some people change can be extremely difficult. What I've learned through one of the hardest transitions in my life, was that fighting it will deplete my spiritual and mental, even physical energy, till I have nothing left to help me adjust. It was in releasing all resistance against uncontrollable change, in surrendering the fear and despair, that I was able to eventually see the possibillities for creating something new in my transformed world. And then God made it beautiful again ...
