What People Get Wrong About My Job I work as an BD Manager, and people often think I make a lot of money and get new clients every day 😂 But that’s not really how it works. Some days are good, and some days nothing happens at all. Getting a client takes a lot of talking, follow-ups, meetings, and patience. They assume a Quantity Surveyor does the same thing as a Land Surveyor. And when I finally explain what we actually do, they go, “Oh! Maybe the usual thing which is working from home is not a real work and working from the office is more productive. On the contrary in my case, i produce more from home because colleagues are not with me to talk all day long 🙄 Plus at home one is more relaxed and can think deeper e be more concentrated. 😊🤔

When people discovers what my job is, the common misconception about it mostly (just with the people in my hometown) is that working in a BPO industry is a guaranteed high payingjob. Like whut? NO. That still depends on the area where you live, position, account and workloads. How I wish my salary would be that high. Haha! I might not be drowning in debts like now if that happens. 😆

When I was still working at a food factory, some people thought that whenever there was a salary increase, the company I worked for was automatically included. What they didn’t know was that you wouldn’t get a raise there unless you worked really hard for it.Now I’m a full-time mom. People may think being a stay-at-home mom is easy, but they don’t realize that a mother’s work never ends. There are no weekends, no holidays, and no days off when you’re a mom.

People get it wrong when they think my jobs were all simple and moving around meant I could not focus. I used to be a bank teller, hotel receptionist, English tutor, and BPO agent who grew into a manager, and now I am a full-time mom, wife, and business owner. They see only the surface and not the skills, resilience, and growth each role gave me, and they forget that running a home and business is actually the hardest work of all.

When I was a manager, some thought that Im just giving instruction, they don't how hard it is to be responsible in evwrything. Now that I am a fulltime mom some thought that being at home is just easy well its not if you will do everything that you have to do haha.
