Tourists? Not sure the voyeurs we get chasing about trying to see an albino squirrel are actually 'tourists'. Olney is a place your drive through on the way to go be a tourist elsewhere. Regardless, not any of them ever stumble across the 1889 tunnel under the railroad tracks on the very eastern edge of town...in fact most of the town folk do not realize it is there either...

I really couldn't say what tourists haven't enjoyed in my city. It’s a place where people have fun both day and night. The beach, the ocean, the sand, entertainment, local cuisine, and friendly, welcoming people. At night, there are walks, parties, and nightclubs for people of all ages. Places to skate, climb, go paragliding, and have bonfires. Rivers, lagoons, and plenty of entertainment—so much so that anyone who comes here ends up recommending places for others to visit.

In our country, 7 AM is already late because that’s when classes and work usually start. By this time, the roads are already busy, and traffic is everywhere. For some people, 7 AM might still feel early, but here, it’s already the middle of the morning rush! The streets are full of students, workers, and commuters trying to get to their destinations on time.

Time check: it’s 9:25 am here in the Netherlands. This is how the other street where I live looks like right now. I live so close to the city center so it’s quite busy here with so many cars, buses, and bikers on the road (coincidentally not seen in the photo 😂). Just a while back, the garbage collector already took all the trash from the container in front of our apartment building. Yep, sounds about right cause it’s Monday again! 🤣

I live in the city, and here people’s day starts very early. Starting at 5 a.m., the streets are bustling— workers walking to their bus stops, cars pulling out of driveways, and people taking their children to school. I remember when I used to get up at 5 a.m. to get my son and myself ready for our daily routines. My son would wait for his ride at 6 a.m., and I’d leave for work at 6:30 a.m. Those were the days, weren’t they?

In my country, many people love to sit on the sidewalks in front of their homes in the afternoons and watch passersby, just so they can find something to criticize about them. I've never been able to understand why anyone would do that for so many years of their life.

I am currently in the Redeemed Christian Church of God Camp at Mower, Ogun state. Electricity and water are mere project created to perfection. The RCCG generate their own electricity and water and constructs road and build houses for pastors and enough accommodation for worshippers. It is indeed a city. Sadly, a typhoon struck us last week; our signal and electricity only returned the other day. We are currently dealing with the aftermath of a powerful typhoon Tino after being struck by an earthquake. People blamed the ghost project, which was supposed to assist provide a solid foundation for flood management, for the majority of the mud-covered streets in this area. 🙁

Well water can cover the water shortage from drinking water companies, but many are still hesitant to make drinking water from well water, they tend to choose mountain springs. Maybe that's why many people now choose to live in forest and mountainous areas because of the water sources, If you have to choose between peace and health, perhaps survival is more important.

I could imagine our lives living with the successful flood control. Our lifestyle and normal days would not be like these. Waking and sleeping with a flood inside our houses. If our double decker isn't adjustable, we'd probably have to leave the house sooner or later. Even if there's no storm the high tides keeps on going. And because we don't have proper flood control here in the Philippines there's no way the water can be prevented from entering our area.
