Did you know that working for hours at a computer can cause the same potentially fatal deep vein thrombosis known to occur from sitting on long flights?

Before the pandemic, computer shops were flocked by kids and adults alike just to play their favorite online computer games.Due to online games addiction, I have watched on a TV report that one acquired cancer and died. Some also were rushed to hospitals due to uneasiness, difficulty in breathing with unknown cause which was later found out that it was caused by spending long hours sitting on computer shops for online gaming or mobile games. There was also a parent who brought food and literally spoon fed her teen age child who was busy on his computer game because she was worried about him of not coming home to eat lunch and dinner, if am not mistaken. Yay,she's worried of him missing meals and not him acquiring dangerous effects from radiation. Blue light emitted on mobile phones causes numerous health issues, some of those were published on social medias plus the right handling of mobile phones.

What is deep vein thrombosis? Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a serious condition that occur when blood clot form on veins located deep in our body. It can occur anywhere in our body but usually occur on leg or thigh. DVT causes pain or swelling on the affected part but it can also occur with no symptoms. It is advisable to seek medical help when you notice signs and symptoms of the condition as it may lead to a more life threatening complication which is pulmonary embolism.. (It would go through and through if I had to write about it also, I think another article would cover it).

Lets take a New Zealander who habitually sat at a computer for 12 hours a day and sometimes 18 hours for example. The 32-year-old suffered a swollen calf and ten days of persistent pain before becoming increasingly breathless and losing consciousness.

It was dubbed e-thrombosis by the Medical Research of New Zealand. They reported that a large blood clot had formed in the man's leg and travelled to his lungs. Fortunately, he was treated successfully.

Online home jobs are common nowadays which makes one spend long hours infront of a computer. Take a break every 1-2 hours, stretch and move your body to let blood flow.

Online classes and modules also makes a student sit long hours. So parents, remind your kids to take a break, do something that will make them move and stretch their body when you notice they were rooted on their computers/laptops/ ipads or their modules. Its best they go outside the house also and look around on greens to relax their eyes also.

People at risk of deep vein thrombosis condition are pregnant women, overweight and smokers.

Just like me, who loves munchin on nuts and seeds.What nuts do to oneself? Nuts are packed with fats that boost good cholesterol counts.

Fats are essentials to our health as it support our body's functions. However, we need to choose what kind of dietary fat we take because it plays a role in having a healthy heart and some building up cardiovascular diseases.

To prevent cardiovascular diseases, monounsaturated fats is a healthy option. One rich source of this is nuts. It improves blood cholesterol level that decreases ones risk of acquiring heart diseases and risk of type 2 diabetes.

Researchers have found out that women who consume roughly a handlful of nuts (or a tablespoon of peanut butter) five times a week are 20% less likely to develop type 2 diabetes. How about men? It is believed that it also applies to them.

Pain relievers?! Do you depend on these over-the-counter drugs when your in pain?

Ibuprofen and naproxen according to studies may dissolve and prevent the formation of the plaque that is believed to kill brain cells in Alzheimer's patients.

However, long-term use of these drugs causes adverse effects such as intestinal bleeding and stomach ulcers. Yet, researchers are excited that it can lead to new drugs that can prevent the disease and treat patients on the early stage.

Snoring is a disturbance during sleep, whether you're a snorer or sleeping beside someone who snores. It is something which everyone once in a while.

Snoring, aside from hereditary factor (obstructive sleep apnea) may also be due to underlying diseases and medications. It is also caused by having narrow airway, being a man- men are more prone to sleep apnea than women,overweight. Drinking alcohol before bed also cuases it, that's why I hate my hubby all the more because aside from disturbing our sleep when he comes home late at night drunk, he even snores when he sleeps which makes me awake till morning.

Have you also noticed someone snores when he has a congested nose? I do, when my kids suffer from congested nose. Them snoring also makes me suspect if they have enlarge tonsils which is confirmed by pediatrician when I have them for a check-up.

It primarily causes headaches as it obstructs airflow and decreases oxygen to the brain, resulting to a disturbed sleep. Other risk factors include sleepiness during the day, frequent frustrations or anger, difficulty concentrating, greater risk for high blood pressure and heart problems. In children with OSA, learning problem and increased risk of behavioral problem.

Talk to your doctor if you're taking in medications that he may prescribed another meds. Avoid sleeping on your back..
