Who would not get attracted and feel high spirited when around beautiful blooms..? It is a marvelous feeling when witnessing such creations, its fragrance color,feel and beauty is what fascinates anyone and draws human even animals, birds and insects to it.

The beauty of flowers is a proven therapeutic sight upon a beholder.
During this pandemic almost everyone was not able to work on their respective workplaces. It made everyone's look for something to get themselves busy at while confined on their own homes. One thing that had been making rounds on social media are posts of backyard vegetable gardening or hanging potted vegetables that is very convenient on small spaces or even at a balcony. Aside from vegetables are flowers, cacti and succulents. One of the latest are potted giant "galyang" which amounts from 5k php and above.
Online selling of varieties of the above mentioned floras were prevalent.
My mother was one among those fond of collecting flowers. She would buy even those expensive but at a reasonable prices. She left some of those rooted on the ground at their old rental house when they transferred to their new residence.
Lately, she had bought these different variety of rose flowers from one of my retired police paternal cousin who made flower gardening his business. She also had bought other flowers to propagate which she currently is busy at potting. I hope they will bear some flowers already the next time we will be visiting them.
On one of my talks with her she said they would be planting dragon fruits on one of the clearing or kaingin of theirs. And rose flower garden also which doesn't require much exquisite care.
Well, flower gardening for business purposes is not bad as the demand for it is high. It has lots of benefits to us and our environment. It primarily beautify the surroundings but there are more benefits it can offer.

1. Environment Enhancer
Through the process of photosynthesis, plants absorb carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and in exchange release oxygen in the air making the air we breath fresher and purer. Most plants reproduce through flowers during pollination especially fruit bearing trees. These fruits contain seeds which then were collected by humans to replant, birds and other animals also help in reproducing fruits when they ingest the fruit and brought out the seeds thru defecating. When these seeds grow they help make our environment a better place, as we all know that mother earth needs more trees to slowly recreate those that were lost.
However, organic gardening must be observed as pesticide and chemical fertilizers which are use in growing flowers add up more pollutants to water and soil instead of cleaning it.
2. Emotional and mental therapy
In modern world the number of cases of depression is inexplicably high maybe due to social media influence. Improvements on patients with such cases have been noted. It also lifts a down spirited soul and helps alleviate associated symptoms of emotionally distress individuals. It triggers happy emotions, thus releasing hormone causing stress.
3. Honey production
Honey is an essential use of man either for sweetening agent, nutrients or medical purposes. This honey is formed from nectars collected from flowers by honeybees which they brought to the honeycomb to be process as honey.
4. Medicinal source
Flowers are being used as medicine even during ancient times and one among those that are called herbal medicines. Tea is one of it.
5. Perfumes and scents
How does your favorite perfume smell?Most flowers are fragrant that its essential oils are extracted to make perfumes and other scents to mask dull smell on a room or other areas.
6. Dye
The natural rich colors of some flowers make it a good source for natural dyes which is also being extracted and used in food preparation.
7. Decoration
Its irressistible beauty is the reason why it's being sought and bought for simply for ornaments to beautify a home or a room but most importantly for ceremonial places' beautification. The use of it in homes not only adds radiant on the inside but creating positive vibes.
8.Gift
Flowers convey ones sincere feelings when it is given as a gift whether to family or other dear people around. During Valentine's, Mother's day, birthdays and even ordinary days flowers were really something to arrange for a present. Including sending someone flowers to sympathize of his/her loss. Showing ones sincere apology or gratitude thru flowers.
9. Appetizers
There are flower varieties which are edible that adding them to meals makes it more palatable, thus enhancing ones appetite. Aside from the nutrients you will be getting from eating it, it has also some distinct deliciousness which makes it more reasonable to indulge in.

Flowers as its main purpose is to beautify the environment wherever it is found. It is also a representation of a woman's beauty. Moreover, when a woman wears it as it is,it helps to bring her natural beauty out adding glow and spark on her face. Additionally, flowers are used in a wide range of cosmetic productions.
Flower growing or gardening is being practiced by almost everyone even during ancient times. While others are doing personal or home flower gardening, some are also doing it for commercial purposes that others have created and built flower garden resorts which truly makes any beholder charmed by its beauteous view.
