Today has been a rather trying day. Divine Beast Vah Noodlesnoot was more active last night than we've ever seen her. She started off by cruising all around the inside of her warm cave, rubbing her face on every available surface, and then slithered out to go back and forth along the outside of the log hide. This morning, she was curled up inside the warm hide, but there was no trace of old skin to be seen. Upon closer inspection, she's managed to slough a few patches but the majority of it is stuck. 😩 So poor DBVN is hanging out in a homemade humidity box (a shoebox-sized plastic tote with a damp cloth in it) for the next hour to see if that helps the process along. I don't have a spare heat mat and thermostat available to directly maintain the temperature at comfortable levels for her, so I just stuck it in her vivarium to take advantage of the ambient heat there. So far so good--the temps have been spot on every time I've checked them with the infrared temp gun.
