Leopard geckos are terrestrial lizards. Unlike other gecko species, they don't have sticky pads on their feet that allow them to climb vertical surfaces. They do like climbing, though, so every once in a while I'll look over at Cheeto's enclosure and see him sitting on top of one of his hides like this.
