*rustle rustle* went the artificial plants in the Divine Beast's vivarium. *thump* went the Divine Beast. I turned the light on. She was already stretching back up toward the lid again, so I pulled her out and we sat together on the couch. After a while she slithered over my hands and across my lap and down my leg... Then off my leg to the floor and under the coffee table! I moved in front of her so she wouldn't go under the TV stand. She stared at me and then slithered off over the kid's bead tray as if to say "fine, I didn't wanna go that way anyway." She eventually worked her way up around the rim of the pot next to the table and onto the table itself, where she wove in and out of the PlayStation controller and the RC car and dangled over the edge as if taunting me. By the time an hour had passed the sun was coming up and she was ready to go back. She promptly beelined for her warm cave and settled in for the day.
