My first post this morning was supposed to be an introduction to the second of the lizards I rescued yesterday. Then this happened, and well... yeah. Vrtra/breakfast is my new OTP. He dug right in as soon as I set the bowl down. 😅

Looks it's Enjoying it mixed salad. I noticed on the news that the iguanas We’re having it hard in South Florida because of the coldest weather in four years iguanas are dropping from trees because of the cold.

  I read about that the other day! I suppose it's better that it's iguanas falling out of the trees than, say, Burmese pythons, but yikes! Too bad iguanas can be so grumpy... it sounds like a great opportunity to round some of them up and curb the population a bit.

    I have actually found a few iguanas in my yard after a cold night that I thought were dead and threw them in a trashcan to hear them later on making a bunch of racket after they warmed up.

      Oh no! That's too funny. I can't imagine any of them were pleased to be stuck in there with the others when they came around. 😆

        Understandable! It was an honest mistake, though... they really do seem like they're dead when it gets that cold and they go into a stupor like that.
