This is the sight that greeted us as we crested the hill driving into the city this morning: valleys filled with thick smoke from the prescribed burn operation. The air is horribly thick with it as one gets closer to downtown. Just stepping out of my car for a few minutes to take pictures left me smelling heavily of it, and I'm hoping that the Excedrin I took when I got home will mitigate some of the incoming migraine.
