I'm always amused by how quickly Waffle can go from calmly basking on his cholla branch to "THAT'S A HORNWORM GIMME GIMME GIMME!" Kind of surprised he didn't actually launch himself for this one I offered him earlier. 🤣 It's a bit early to be feeding the lizards their Christmas treats, but this cup of hornworms fared much better than the last one despite coming from Kansas rather than California. Most of the 24 hornworms survived, and since they come with a limited amount of food I've been feeding several off per day. Doing that helps me make sure Ed, the smallest of our lizards, actually gets to have some of them before they get too big; they got here Friday and all of the remaining ones have grown too large for Ed to have more. By Christmas they might be too big for Cheeto, too.
