Most bearded dragons love fruits. Waffle isn't most bearded dragons. He turns his nose up at pretty much every fruit he's offered, even those that other beardies tend to go nuts over like blueberries. The one that does get his attention? The humble ripe banana. So when I spotted the little bags of freeze dried banana at the dollar store I had to grab one to see how he liked them. (The only ingredient is banana, so they're perfectly safe for him to have!) I think he liked them even better than fresh banana, if that's possible. They were a lot easier for him to eat than the slippery chunks of fresh banana are, and he seemed to enjoy the crunchiness too. The one downside is that both my kids and the bunny think they're great, too, so those little dollar store packets aren't going to last very long at all!
