Some Strange Dream When I was in sixth grade, I had a dream in which I awoke alone and in the middle of a typhoon. The water was too deep for a person, and I didn't have anything to spare because I couldn't swim. Even though it was difficult, I forced myself to climb the house's roof, despite the heavy rain, as long as I was safe. I have no idea where the family is or whether they are safe. I simply lay on the roof, waiting for the rain to stop. The downpour gradually subsided after a few minutes, and smoke surrounded our village. Because the water was still high, I remained on the roof to await rescue. I stood up and sat down, counting the minutes until someone arrived and praying that the people here with us would be safe as well. Just a few minutes after I awoke, I noticed a shadow in the distance; there was no one to rejoice over, but I had the impression that it was slowly transforming into a ship, a pirate ship made of wood. I was perplexed as to how something like this could have occurred in our barangay, which usually relies on small fishing boats for rescue. When it arrived in front of our house, it stopped right where I was sitting, and the captain of the ship asked, "Iha, do you want to ride?" I observed him, and I noticed that he was alone, and that he was dressed like a pirate, so I didn't want to trust him easily. "Thank you, but I decided to stay here," I replied, and he just smiled, "If that's what you want," he replied, and left, the smoke covering where he went. I waited for the boat again; it did not disappoint me because it arrived immediately, just like the first boat, and I saw that it was slowly being carried by someone; it was moving slowly and heading towards where I stopped, smiling at the captain of the ship. "Would you like to come with us?" he asked, gripping the steering wheel tightly. I should agree because this is the second time, but I don't trust people easily. "I'm sorry for the trouble, but next time," I said, and he just nodded. "If that's what you want because this is the last trip," he said, whispering the last thing he said so I wouldn't overhear. I had no choice but to let it go. I'm sorry now, but I'm confident that someone will come again. I sat on the roof once more and waited. Time passed, but no one showed up. The smoke that surrounded the village became even thicker. I'm starting to lose hope of surviving here. I was about to give up when I heard a loud noise, as if it came from the ship's horn. I stood up and noticed a modern ship in the distance, blowing smoke as it approached my location. When it arrived, it came to a halt in front of me. Unlike the previous ships, I noticed a large number of people on board; it appeared to be crowded. I also saw my friends, so I didn't hesitate to wait for the captain's question. I dashed to board the ship, but what happened next surprised me. I just realized I'd fallen into the water, where I also discovered the bodies of my fellow villagers.
