Live your life to the fullest
Repentance is late. "Should you repent before you do?" I remember my grade school teacher saying this, and I remember thinking about it then. Then talk again with seatmate, doodle, and wait for recess. It just amazes me how they are actually right, that after over 2 decades, I will remember them. Because when we were young and our parents and teachers would talk about life lessons, we tend to just ignore them, thinking it's too soon or we may be even thinking "Why would I make that mistake?" Like ‘when we were kids, they sound ridiculous; seems like everything 1 + 1 is 2. It's that simple. We were so upright that we think "I couldn't possibly do that," but as we go through life, we slowly understand that life is rather complicated. You can just sh * t and think "This is it." Mistakes are necessary to finally do things right. We have to lose in order to win; feel pain and suffering to savor pleasure and happiness; be in the dark to appreciate the light. How be it, we can't just say "i'm just human, human commit mistakes" all the time. We have to know and feel that "Ok, my quota." Use the lessons we learned from the past, and make sure not to make the same mistakes because we already know how it's going to end. You can't watch the same show repeatedly hoping for a different ending. Regrets ... what ifs ... we all have them. I do! But whenever they'd hover over my head, I'd make the face but shrug the thoughts. I can't let the bitterness of the past stop me from tasting the sweetness of today. I can't let this day be another what if. Today, I choose to laugh harder, live happier, and love deeper.
