What Matters

“Today, I don’t feel like doing anything , I just want to lay in my bed. “Familiar with that song of Bruno Mars ? The Lazy Song it is, and literally what I am feeling right now.

I am feeling so tired lately feels like I don’t want to do something, you know, you just want to lay in the couch, just facing your phone and scrolling, and just fully resting .

Can you call it laziness or resting?

I've been so tired lately that I don't want to do anything; you know, you just want to lay on the couch, face your phone, and browse the internet while completely resting.

Some of you may be able to pinpoint with what I'm saying, while others may not. When I think about schoolwork, I get sick. It’s not that I hate school but rather, I've been so preoccupied that I've forgotten to relax at times. Anyway, I like school and am grateful for the opportunity to go to college.

Despite my lack of motivation right now, I'd like to share with you some of what I learned in school today. We've arrived at the point where we're going to talk about discrimination. So, after some thought, I came to the following conclusion. Again, this is purely based on my own biases.

You are, in some ways, like a butterfly, regardless of color. You are stunning and one-of-a-kind.

We cannot deny that discrimination is extremely common as we delve deeper into the contentious subject of racism. It is not new to us to hear superiority amongst different races. The sad thing is that is causes us no good. It is only bound to look down and discourage someone. Who are we to compare ourselves to other?

As we delve deeper into the divisive topic of racial discrimination, we cannot deny that it is extremely prevalent, that people have suffered far too much, and that as it rises again, we must recognize that their lives, regardless of race or color, are just as important as ours. The amount of melanin in a person's body should not be used to assess the worth of their life. Individuals should not be judged based on their origins or physical appearance. People's attitudes haven't changed much since then; we continue to discriminate against people based on their skin color. The notion of one race being superior to another is currently being challenged.

As Nelson Mandela once said, “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

We are all created as distinct individuals with shared interests and living in the same world. Rather than criticizing what we despise, why not imply what we absolutely love? Life's reality is somewhat overwhelming. We each have our own set of characteristics that set us apart. Some may understand, while others may disagree, but we all have one thing in common: we are named to live and we matter. There should be no distinctions between individuals. To solve the problem, we must first educate ourselves and refuse to be dogmatic. By embracing our diverse cultures, we must be willing to overcome preconceptions and stereotypes. We all have a unique existence, we all belong, and we all matter, regardless of who we are.

I hope that one day, all of these things will come to an end, that our children's children will not have to witness such things because it is such a burden to see, and that they will be able to live in harmony and peace. We all matters and that what matters most.

Hi thank you for dropping by🌻 All the love. 💙
