November Typhoons 2020 It has been announced in the last week of October that a typhoon, named Quinta, will going to hit Philippines, particularly the Bicol Region, the place where I live in. I remembered it was October 31, 2020, it was the feast day of our patron, and the supposedly happy celebration turned into fear and sadness because of the upcoming typhoon. Instead of preparing for foods and parties, we are preparing for the typhoon. We cover our windows, prepare the emergency kits, put some bag of sands in our rooftop to avoid getting blown away by the wind, and place the plants inside our house. We also secure the safety of our 3 dogs. The wind started to blow around 2 pm, followed by the rain. It went on and on until Sunday and Monday. It wasn't much strong but it did destroy some in our surroundings. What's more depressing is that, another typhoon was formed and Bicol Region will be affected, again. It was the Bagyong Rolly, which is named as the world's most powerful tropical cyclone yet in 2020 that battered parts of the Philippines with destructive winds and torrential rain. Some says that it is somehow stronger than the Bagyong Yolanda that almost damage some parts in Visayas.

I even tracked down the regions that will be affected by the typhoon. (I used windy.com app). https://www.windy.com/?13.939,121.174,5 The typhoon came around 2am based from my source until morning, I guess around noon time. We woke up at 6am, startled by the heavy winds and rain. Our house was also penetrated by water. Me and my 2 sisters immediately grab some towels and pale to secure that our sofa won't get wet. We stayed there for about 1 1/2 hours, without eating breakfast. The damage outside was also worst. The roof in our balcony was also removed, leaving the sofa set, my mother's plantitas and the 2 motorcycles wet. One of the roof in our kitchen was also removed. There are some water flowing inside our room. IT WAS A TOTAL MESS! Even our bedroom got wet and some stuff. Good thing I secured my school things, or else, I don't know what to do... We never really know what to do that day. Thankfully, we have some "imports", hahahaha. And what's more we need to be thankful, is that we are still alive. After a couple of days, me and my sister decided to have a survey in our nearby barangays because it was in the news that there are some houses that have been fully destroyed and full of sand. And here are some of the views along our way.

You can see huge rocks. It was said that it came from the Mayon. (FYI, we are 10 kilometer away from Mayon Volcano).

There are some houses that only rooftops can be seen. Thankfully, the local officials have evacuated them before the typhoon came. After the typhoon Rolly, there is a total blackout for almost a month now in some areas. Thankfully, electricity came back after almost 2 weeks in our barangay. But that's not the end, there are more typhoons formed namely Siony, Tonyo, and Ulysses but not the same as the Rolly. We are thankful indeed that we survived this kind of calamity. We are blessed. 2020 might not be the best year ever, but we learned a lot of things. We are just hoping that year 2021 will be a total opposite of this year. Now, we are currently recovering, psychologically, and financially. Hahaha, daming gastos bruh. ADVANCE MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
