The Life I Chose

Waking up in the middle of the night. And have I found joy?

Joy isn't found in just a place. Joy is not found, I say.

I don't know. I did not find joy.

Why didn't you...?

May I just shed a tear or two? In that, I will have found something worthy to do... To cry and let life know I am yearning for it.

Have you not found life?

Is life found? If yes, have I found it?

Do you have to ask? Does my life look like life?

Respect. You have a life. And you must find it no matter what.

You put yourself in the grip of others and you let them step over you. Fight back reasonably and they will let you go.

They won't eat you or bite you. So go on and live your life. It's high time you stop worrying about how your life would be if you fight.

You'll see how better it will become.

Do you have a backbone? And if you have, is it enough a fact to let you fight your way.

Whatever.

I will just do like yesterday and go on with it until the day I rest and no longer of this earth.

What a sad life. You are just like those helpless martyrs. But even they have a purpose with their martyrdom.

And what about you, what is the purpose of your life right now?

What purpose do I need to have? May I just live and be done with it when life decides to leave me?

It's okay. You don't have to have it. If you only want to 'live.'

Useless thoughts. Seems you are dreaming. Of course, you need to have a life.

When was the last time you looked into the mirror? What did you see? Why don't you look into it right now and find out if you are still you?

Go back painstakingly and assess what made you feel this way. Has it always been like this?

If not, when did you start losing your taste in things?

It pays to know how you've been living so far.

And for what purpose do you do this?

Do you even have to ask?

Think. Think again. You only live once. And it's up to you to make it better.

What do you want? What is your dream? What is your passion? What are your aspirations? What things do you wish to do without the pressure of having others around who do not support you?

Do you want to break free? Why? Would it be possible?

Now you choose whether you want to spend your life thinking of things you wanted to do or actually doing them.

If you wish to spend time forever with wishful thinking, then go on and have a 'peaceful' life. If you even find that as peaceful.

Else, fight and be free. Do a way to break free from people who do not know the life you want. Who has no love for you and no understanding whatsoever?

This is your life and you have the freedom to choose how you want it to be.

Are you still hesitating? So you wish to keep secrets as if you are a sinner? Don't you deserve that much respect from others? Are your aspirations a joke?

In this free world that we are in right now, don't you see that we have way more options than we think we have?

But then again, even you opting to live this way deserve that much respect.

But you have to decide as soon as you can. The longer you delay, the more miserable you will become.
