In-Service Training(INSET) has started.

And my busy hands started as well. The moment we registered a while back is the moment my mind got tickled and here I am writing. Free writing. Just for a quick update.

Our topic right now is about Facebook features, part of the upskilling on emerging technologies. Our lovely speaker (actually her name is literally ‘lovely’) has a lot of good points. She is telling us that we could actually use Facebook in partnership with Zoom in order to reach more students.

Yes, reaching more of our students is the point of using Facebook. Lesser data and lesser reasons not to attend synchronous classes on the part of the students.

We are currently being walked through how to stream on Facebook using Facebook live. Things like OBS is being mentioned as well.

I urge you dear co-teachers to explore these combinations. It may be a little tricky on our part but on the part of students, they will be able to participate more. There will of course be some limitations like when parents aren’t informed that they could use Facebook and will assume that their sons or wards aren’t attending classes and just using Facebook as well. So yes, communicating with parents at the onset of the school year is a good way to start the year.

I will try to hint out other things that we have discussed but forgive me, I won’t be able to give you comprehensive walkthroughs, just mentioning keywords. That’s all I can give right now. Thanks for reading even just my short article.
