She loved the dark and warm places most of all. It's where she spent most of her time till the moment someone disturbed her good life.
"It's time to clean up this mess," she said. She wasn't alone brought a bucket with water and soap and a vacuum cleaner along with her and switch on the light. Apparently, it was cleaning day or some other occasion coming up, important enough to switch on the light and empty every corner in the room that felt like a safe harbor, the safest she ever had.
The light, the sounds, and the voice of the woman... she wanted to scream but instead, she was frozen. Was there a place where she could hide? It had taken her so long to find this place. Scared he tried to find a safe way out. She knew she wasn't worth looking at and not wanted.
"Not all of us are pretty," she whispered, "but that doesn't mean I don't have the right to live."
This was the life she preferred. It fitted her and no one would mention her ugly head or body. The fact she didn't brighten people's life and wasn't colorful enough. Personally, she liked the beige color she was dressed in. It wasn't black, not depressing, and no painful white either.
"I love my life the way it is. Please, don't take me away," she begged as she saw the woman come closer.
Then she saw her or perhaps it was the woolen vest or the fur coat? She screamed and screamed. It was as if she would never stop but for her, it was a chance. A chance she took and she fled. Filled with fear she escaped to the hallway away from the yelling and scolding person who called her scum, an intruder, and vandal of a moth.
