An Invention That Changed Our Lives - The Ice Cream I believe that there is no person in the world who does not like ice cream, on the contrary, I believe that we all love this delicious snack or dessert that cheers our hearts and souls in hot weather or in times of sadness. However, it is curious to know how and where such an incredible invention originated. To make ice cream nowadays is something very simple, with few ingredients we already have there that perfect companion to watch movies, series or just eat it when we crave for it, however many years ago to make ice cream was something impossible, some even considered that it was magic of the few who made ice cream. ¿Where and How Did Ice Cream Emerge? There is no document or anyone who can say for sure who was the one with the idea, however the little that is known is that it emerged in Asia, it is said that some Asians climbed the great mountains to mix snow with honey and some fruits, creating a kind of cold dessert, which quenched their thirst and gave them a good feeling in their palate. The Caliphs of Baghdad in Arabian territory, also began to do this curious practice, but they mixed snow with fruit juice. The Great Marco Polo in his many travels, seeing that these civilizations made such a magical experiment with snow was fascinated and decided to take this invention to Europe in the thirteenth century, the ice cream was called Polo, today there is still a brand called so. However the joy and the furor of such a rich invention was temporary, because the ice cream melted very easily, as there were no refrigerators or electric service, the decision was taken that the ice cream was only consumed by the nobility, so they paid a few people to go up the mountains to collect snow, then kept them in kind of "wells" which in turn were covered with straw so they would not melt. Over the years, the great chefs began to experiment, to create a different ice cream, with different flavors.
