Although some like it and others don't, life is full of rules, norms, and guidelines to follow to have a healthy coexistence, it turns out that the Internet world also has certain parameters or limits that we must respect and more for our safety. About 15 years ago the world lived what I consider The Internet Revolution, with it came the era of Digitalization, among other changes that make our lives easier, that bring us closer to people, and even help us to do daily tasks that before seemed real torture. However this brought with it certain irregularities, certain misuses to these digital tools which brought as consequences, not legal professions, very dirty acts, among others, so these digital rules emerged, which should be taught at home and school so that the new generations know what their rights and duties are when accessing the digital world.

¿What are these Norms or Rules?

  • 1) Do not give personal information - Although it sounds so logical the answer to this normal, many forget that we can not give personal information at any time when surfing the internet when using social networks, because we do not know what misuse can be given to this, how many people have not spent bad times by the fact of thinking that giving some personal information will not bring consequences, forget that we are in a new Digital Age and who we least think is lurking like a crocodile to its prey.

  • 2) Beware of Videos or Photos of Third Parties You Upload to Social Networks - It has become a trend or viral, uploading photos, videos, and other audiovisual materials of people without their consent, we think it is okay to do this, however, we do not see the consequences of performing such an act, a case occurred in a country, where some friends began to upload photos with someone they had met a few months ago, it turned out that this person was being sought by a criminal organization and as they did not find her, they went against those who uploaded the photos. ¿What was the result? The people in charge of uploading the photo ended up murdered because the criminals thought they were accomplices of the person they were looking for. But beyond these fatal consequences, we must be careful with what we upload, with what we post on social networks because it can bring us tragic consequences.

  • 3) Be cautious when opening unknown emails - Lately, I do not know if it has happened to you as it has happened to me, I am receiving many emails in Spam where they congratulate me for winning 100 BTC or 1000 ETH and even talk to me about trips to the Cayman Islands, however when you see the wording of the email you automatically decipher misspellings, among other things that make you doubt, Here we must be very cautious when opening such emails, because we do not know what is the intention of the sender, and believe me nothing good is, because unfortunately, they act like fishermen, they put a bait on the hook to see who falls, so it happens, I know that some of us have many needs and more in the economic field, but opening an email like this can bring severe problems and more for our data. So if today you have in your Spam mails, delete them immediately.

  • 4) Do not believe everything that is said on the Internet - As it happens in the physical world, the same happens in the digital world, we cannot think that everything that is shared, written, or said there is true, on the contrary, always doubt what they say, whether it is an official newspaper or a person who influences in the networks. Every day we have to become more cautious, more distrustful, more investigative and above all develop that Critical and Analytical Thinking, they will help us to decipher if that information is true or a lie. Corroborate with several sources, never stay with only one, for example, today you are reading this information in our article, go out to investigate if this is true or lie, in this way you will be creating an investigative habit, which will help you in many areas of life.

  • 5) Nothing Is Anonymous On The Internet - Many people are so naive to think that by uploading a photo to social networks or their data and then deleting their accounts or some of these photos, automatically and their trail will disappear, but it is not so when you upload something to the internet automatically loses control of this, because anyone can save that image and in the future will rise again, so with this I do not mean that it happens in all cases, but we must understand that when we upload something to the internet it is no longer of us to become something difficult to erase or disappear because there will always be a database that stores everything and with this, there will be someone with the knowledge to see what is there, which can be used to blackmail or annoy someone. For example, we see it a lot with artists when someone uploads an intimate video, many times those videos even after 10 years are still circulating because it is difficult to erase them from this digital world.

  • 6) Avoid violating the Laws - Anyone would think that in the Internet world we can do whatever we want because we are "untouchable" and even more so if we use a VPN, however, there are things that are penalized, insulting, threatening, stealing data, blackmailing and even defaming through social networks, Unfortunately, due to shame, people do not approach their country's authorities. However, with such rapid progress in the digital world, the world's justice systems have had to adapt to this progress and create specialized cybercrime units. So let's be prudent, let's respect, let's make spaces of peace, if we see that we are offended, that fights or threats are generated, let's withdraw from there, let's take a screenshot and that's it. If it should happen to greater there we have our proof.

There are more rules, however, I feel that these are the most important and which we must keep in mind, also teach the little ones at home the importance of these, teach them that the internet world is magical, but also dangerous, like the physical world, we must go with caution, because the most vulnerable today are the children and more with these online games that are emerging where anyone with money can join and manipulate children to do anything just to get a new dress in his character, so please be very careful at home, let us be prudent and teach others to be so. We can't think that none of this can happen, many of those who thought this way today are in places you would never want to be. Even some of these rules we can apply to platforms like Noise.Cash and Read.Cash because in some way we will make them safer for others.
