Then and now

I remember my childhood. We ran wasps on the meadows, our feet were green with grass. We felt the ground with every step we took, every breath we took. We smelled the scents of autumn, the scents of spring. Today our children wear masks. They feel nothing. They feel the smog of a car and a glowing road. It will never be the same again.
