1957 - Elvis Presley buys the Graceland estate in Tennessee for $ 102,500. The property was named after the builder's daughter Grace. After Elvis died and was buried on the estate, Graceland became a ‘mecca’ for all fans of popular music. It was sung, among others, by Paul Simon in the 1986 song and album ‘Graceland’. Of the private edifices, today it records the most visits per year in the US after the White House.
