Black doesn’t have to always symbolize the end of something. With every end comes a new beginning. Today, I choose to be focused on what’s ahead and not what’s behind. Saying “goodbye” eventually comes with a new “hello.” It doesn’t always come quickly or feel like it is coming at all, but, it is. Allowing ourselves to see the silver lining and putting on the garment of praise is the proof that we don’t take losses like the world does. We grieve with hope, knowing that there is a future ahead of us that is brighter and more promising than anything we have ever had in our past.
