Negative core beliefs are hurtful thoughts we believe to be true about ourselves. They silently affect so many of the things we do and think and believe about the world around us. These beliefs sometimes start in childhood. We feel unloved or let down and we turn those thoughts toward ourselves. We take them in as truths about ourselves and we believe them. No matter where they come from, they affect our jobs, relationships, whether we seek treatment for our mental health, and so many other things. When we truly feel like we're broken, it's hard to see the point of anything. Learning how to break down those negative core beliefs and build up the positive ones is an important part of your mental health journey. #Motivation/Inspiration
