I hadn't heard of this quote before but it's just so true! When things go bad and there's no direction, staying still and being passive will not bring any change. It will just extend the stay in hell. It's better to just try and do something - it might not bring the desired outcome but at least it will present new challenges and ultimately, lessons. Then with a clear head, one can find the right path. Of course, this is much easier said that done. Being in a hellish state eats up energy and mental strength, and a breakdown is sometimes inevitable. There are times, when one falls and maybe it's worth taking a breath. But lying there and waiting for rescue... this will not bring any good. Even if it does, the next time a difficulty shows up, that person will again just cry and wait for help.
