Stars who will miss the 2022 World Cup due to injuries: Ngolo Kante (France) ❌ The Chelsea midfielder had a hamstring problem which he unexpectedly aggravated during his recovery. The club have announced that Kante has undergone surgery which will leave him out of action for four months. Paul Pogba (France) ❌ France's second main midfielder has not played since the summer - he had knee surgery. Pogba's agent Rafaela Pimenta has confirmed that Paul will definitely miss the World Cup. It's a shame as Pogba has always shown his best football for the national team. 🇬🇧 Rhys James (England) ❌ In an official statement on James' injury, Chelsea said it would take 8 weeks for James to recover (injured on 11 October). If so, there's no way Reece will be back in time for the start of the tournament. 🇬🇧 Ben Chillwell (England)❌ "Following the injury suffered in our recent game against Dinamo Zagreb, Ben had a hamstring scan. The results show that Ben has suffered a serious injury. Unfortunately, the defender is expected to miss the World Cup. Jorginho suffered a serious injury and shouldn't return until after the New Year. Jesus Manuel Corona (Mexico) ❌ The official website of the Mexican Football Federation has reported that the player will miss the World Cup in Qatar due to an ankle injury. Arthur Melo (Brazil) ❌ For the sake of the trip, Arthur had been picking up form with Liverpool without rest, but ended up breaking down before the New Year. "It was my dream to play in the World Cup," the player admitted.
