Almost wrote a diary-like entry here, haha. Deciding against it. Just know that, 'be yourself' is not 100% 'truth-y' as a form of advice. It prescribes that you to act a certain way, but not exactly in an impulsive manner, so the 'yourself' mentioned there is subject to some form of validation that we're never really 100% sure of. Add, 'be authentic' to that, or, 'lead with authenticity'. You're not a fictional character so it's nearly impossible to be 'authenticated'. It's okay to act in alignment with your goals, & it might be counterproductive to be 'honest' where there's room to be reserved. There is no trick to it, ask, observe, choose, then move accordingly.
