When you are importing a wallet, you are still entering a seed phrase inside the browser for a third-party service. This is not a desired user experience and we shouldn't encourage users into this habit. However, I think there is a critical step in the middle missing on the protocol level or at the widely used UX level. In my opinion, we should encourage users pasting their "extended public keys" from the wallet and not the seed phrase.
