When BTC transactions become prohibitively high, I mean when one transaction is $200 or more. How is lightning network is going to solve the high transaction fee? If I understand LN UX correctly, one has to open and close a lightning channel on-chain. Only the transactions that are done within LN are cheaper. If it costs $400 to open and close an LN channel, doing transactions under $5000 is not going to make any sense for the users. What will happen to $100 transactions in that case? Will eventually BTC users only transact on the lightning layer without touching the BTC blockchain? In that case, Are they really using Bitcoin? #BitcoinCash
