"Who are you to judge my God?" The bench on the stand
Who am I to judge your God? I’m the insignificant human from whom your God desperately needs validation, in the form of compulsive love and ego-feeding worship… https://sotiris.substack.com/p/holding-god-accountable …so much so that, to get our forced Stockholm-Syndrome faux-affection, he is willing to threaten us with eternal, cruel, sadistic torture, or bribe us with a meaningless, hedonistic, and selfish paradise. A paradise that is for the cruel and uncompassionate, those who can **rest gleefully in schadenfreude**, knowing that the vast majority of people who ever lived are roasting forever in unimaginable anguish for the misfortune of getting the wrong religion or denomination. Are you sure you got yours right, by the way? How certain are you? Who am I to judge your god? You worship a deity that is pathetically and pathologically desperate for validation and acceptance from its frail, insignificant creations… a narcissist god who deliberately made us “in his image” (whatever that means) so satiate his insatiable self-love (all while teaching us about humility). So needy is your god for my validation that he is willing to threaten and bribe me for it, intimidating me with horror stories, and tempting me with the narcissism of living forever. A mythical monster threatening a baby — this is how “fair” and “dignified” your god is. You believe in an admittedly jealous god who desperately needs my approval — **YOU are the one who elevates me to the position of judging him**. If my opinion matters so much to your god, then who are you to deny its weight? If your god values my opinion so much, then who are you NOT to value it? Free will? You only believe in “free will” because you arrogantly rest in your assumption that you have the right religion. What if, in your moment of passing, you find a completely different god who sends you to be tortured forever and ever for not discerning during your lifetime which version of worship was the correct one? You’ll then throw your “free will” out the window, appealing to your misfortune of being born in the wrong region, to the wrong parents, and in the wrong entourage. https://sotiris.substack.com/p/what-is-god https://sotiris.substack.com/p/free-will-oxymoron https://sotiris.substack.com/p/no-religion-represents-god This is how arrogant the presumption of free will is: you only believe in free will when you assume you made all the right choices. Narcissism… https://sotiris.substack.com/p/excuses-vs-explanations-part-2 Now, I reverse the question: Who are you to describe god, or the demiurge of this reality, as an insecure, cruel, jealous, and desperate for validation psychopath? Who are you to project your fears, your hate, your malice, your despair onto an image of god that is so pathetic it is laughable to describe humanity, let alone divinity?
If there is a god, I am absolutely certain it’s not the biblical one: Yahweh, the boogeyman old hags use to scare little children. If there is a god, it has abandoned us in this simulation, not of our choosing. https://sotiris.substack.com/p/the-evil-of-abraham https://sotiris.substack.com/p/on-our-cosmic-abandonment https://sotiris.substack.com/p/why-god-made-you ***Do not dishonour your Creator by assigning your petty insecurities to your image of Him.***
