Admire your spirit to work your way. Learning Python and AI is a really good idea - these jobs pay well and you don't really need that much time to get practical. I highly recommend FastAI course (it's free and very modern) https://course.fast.ai/
It's something that interests me quite a lot because I analyze data and statistics and ask myself what information I get and some possible strategy or future events that sometimes are accurate to my astonishment, and use the time to be with my father who was a professor of mathematics to improve on that aspect and spend time with him. Thank you very much I will review the course.
