Posted a while back on my other social pages and thought it'll be worth a share here 🙂 The Earith Bulwark fort was built between 1643 and 1645 to protect crossing points on the local rivers during the English Civil War, according to Historic England. It was “amongst the most elaborate fortifications” from the English Civil War and was later used as a gun emplacement during World War II. #UnitedKingdom
