If governments and banks were run by honest people instead of criminals, all fiat money would be printed by the government and backed by a store of value that could be redeemed for that store of value at any time. People would then be paid with money that was worth an equivalent amount to the service they provided. The next worst option is the government prints the money but it is not backed by anything, but the government doesnt have to borrow it either. The final option is the one we have which is a criminal conspiracy between the government and bankers to privatise the printing of money which is backed by nothing and then borrowed by the goverment at the face value of the note as if it was actually worth something and then interest is payable on this worthless paper and added to the debt. In short this is financial slavery where the harder you work, the faster the economy grows the bigger and faster the debt plus interest grows. When politicians say they are going to pay off the debt, they are lying. Because to pay off all the debt you would have to remove all the money from the economy and still be left with the interest.
