What is going on in American hospitals? Thousands of elderly patients are too scared to go with life threatening conditions like diabetes. A family doctor admits that she has had 2000 elderly patients who should have gone to hospital but instead she treated herself. Her patient mortality statistics are significantly better than the hospitals. She admits to not trusting the hospitals in her city and in fact there is only one hospital doctor she is happy to refer her patients to. One example that hospitals are not providing proper medical care she cites is ICU patients who need high dose IV steroid treatment are given low dose steroid instead, the reason for this is not stated. In one case an elderly man in the ICU was denied family visits and was not being given the treatment requested by his GP.
