NATO promised Russia after the fall of the Berlin wall that there would be no further use for NATO after the Cold War had ended. In the 33 years since the wall came down 13 more countries have joined NATO. All of them surrounding Russia. Not taking sides here but who does the aggressor look like?

Sorry to ask but does that justify attacking a sovereign nation for no reason at all? Because you see them as vulnerable. If Ukraine were to be China would Russia have attacked them?
I think it is more nuanced. Ukraine and Russia have had the Minsk agreement since 2014 which is a 12 point plan to protect ethnic Russians living in Eastern Ukraine. The whole point of the agreement was to stop military conflict and protect ethnic Russians. Under Zelensky this agreement was the same as Neville Chamberlain waving his piece of paper from Hitler guaranteeing peace in Europe. Britain under that agreement declared war on Germany. I see no difference for Putin who had the same piece of paper.
I still believe this does not justify attacking a nation without provocation.
Fair enough and I hope Zelensky does not get his way either by bringing the rest of the world into the conflict
If Ukraine had been a member of Nato perhaps we will be in a lake of fire by now. I believe Putin wouldn't have attacked if they were part of it though. The world really need to stand up to bullying. All world powers are practically guilty of this not just russia
