Right now there is a revolution against the Communist takeover of Canada under the guise of disease control. 50 thousand truckers and over a million citizens are headed to the parliament in Ottowa and will stay there until Trudeau resigns https://youtu.be/-3ZnEweWUH0

This has sort of been the true underlying root of Covid. Socialism and communism enforced through fear mongering.
In fact, we are already quite into socialism and it is working fine. This is just against the idea that the government was thinking to make vaccines mandatory to come into the country just like the US is already doing anyway. That is why it is the truckers that are doing this.
Socialism does not work fine, and is a failure everywhere and every time it has been tried. People are poor and destitute while the government controls everything. Venezuela, North Korea, the former Soviet Union, the former East Germany under Soviet rule, Cuba, and too many others to list. While socialism promises the people security and equality and prosperity, the reality is that it delivers exactly the opposite of all of that EXCEPT that everyone is equally poor and miserable.
But anyway I don't know why I am discussing this with an American. Your country did a very good job at propaganda through the years. And now it seems that communism is like the new enemy after the terrorists... All this so they can maybe go at war with communist countries with the people approbation.
That is not socialism you describe but rather failed government with communism. And you also describe what we can see in capitalist countries... Canada has universal health care which is socialism. Works very well. Vietnam is doing very good too with Communism. I could name as many countries failing with capitalism.
I appreciate and respect your opinion. But I also disagree with it. The fact is, that the facts simply do not bear out what you have said here. Universal health care is a socialist view, and a socialist policy. No doubt about it. But Canada's healthcare system is also not something to be boasted about. Most Candians will tell you it has more problems than solutions, and waiting lists for care cause people to die. Just the facts. Vietnam is also not a good example of a working socialist, communist structure. Vietnam is destitute and poor, and there are very few people succeeding and prospering there. Just again, the facts. Capitalism is not failing. In fact, it is the most successful system there is, and even when a socialist country like China added a little bit of capitalism to their structure, suddenly China's people began to prosper and are prospering more today than before it. Socialism breeds lack of motivation, lack of incentive, it deprives people of the basic need to grow and prosper and be self sufficient. It eats at the very heart and soul of the culture of the people. People work hard for little money. They struggle to make ends meet, and it also breeds misery in the sense that one knows in a socialist country that no matter what they do, they can never be more than the government decides they need to be. In a socialist country there is no incentive for challenge. No light at the end of the tunnel. No reward for hard work and creation of things. It is just a miserable existence which for many there is no escape. Interestingly enough, when you talk to most people who come to a country like the United States, who came from socialist countries, they cherish the country even more than some native born do. Because to them this is heaven. For a lot of Americans, we take all of our vast opportunity and prosperity for granted.
Are you in Canada?
