Not certain what kind of insect this is. It was in our back porch. #Photography
The Statehouse in Indiana. Was super surprised this week to see my photo pop up on Joseph Gordon-Levitz’s Facebook. I know he posts like 10 photos a day when Hit Record is working on collaborations, but it was still cool to see my photo on his timeline. #Photography
Sunlight breaking through the clouds right before the sun dips beneath the mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. #Photography
From an elopement I shot last summer. This is just in the couple’s backyard. #Photography
I do a lot of bulb photos (slow shutter photos) while shooting wedding receptions. It’sa great way to show motion on the dance floor. At one wedding a few years ago I went a little abstract with it and completely blew out the people dancing with the colored lights the DJ was using. It’s abstract and I didn’t deliver it to the clients, but I kept it because I loved it. #Photography
Trees on a misty mountain. #Photography
Bahá'í House of Worship In Illinois. We shot a wedding there a few years ago and captured this photo of the building. It’s amazing. #Photography
When your flashes fail to fire but you kind of like the resulting photo anyway. #Photography
When we used to live out in the country the yard around our house would flood frequently. The driveway could get up to like 1 foot deep with water. It was terrible if you needed to go anywhere, but it looked cool around sunset.

I went out to fly my drone in Gatlinburg and a storm blew into town. The rain wasn't too bad, just like a slight just, so I kept going for a while. The resulting images all looked a little haunting and I loved it.
Soldiers'and Sailors' monument at dusk. #Photography
The sky looked unreal tonight while we went for a sunset walk at the reservoir. #Photography
A little panoramic stitching photo I did of the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis. I think this was 15 photos shot with a 50mm f/1.4 stitched together in Photoshop. #Photography

Last rays of sunshine peaking out from behind the clouds before the sun ducks below the mountain.

This was the first wedding of the year for me. Brought the couple upstairs at the venue to get some photos in the air conditioning. #Photography

This is one of my favorite photos I've ever shot and definitely my favorite drone photo.

Bit of an unexpected visitor on the trail today. #Photography
Took the drone out for a spin tonight. #Photography

The kid asked me to take some photos of him after he climbed a bunch of rocks to get away from the other hikers. He wanted people to see how high he climbed. 😆 #Photography
Sunset over the cabins.
Night shot from my first wedding I shot alone. This was when my wife and I decided to start shooting seriously so we could do more weddings every year. #Photography

Golden Dome at Notre Dame University. There's actual gold in paint they use to paint the dome of this building.
Walking the trails at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado.
Saw this old photo and newspaper clipping about wildlife photographers in the 1800s today. Love that early photographers were just as concerned with capturing the funny and embarrassing moments as modern day photographers. #Photography

At a wedding in this conference room tonight. Love the twinkle lights hanging from the ceiling. The tables are spaced far apart and there’s a limited number of people allowed at each table so that the place settings can be adequately spaced for social distancing. It’s the new Covid norm. As a photographer, I love when I see this. Lets me Know the venue is trying to keep people safe (and I’m people, so they’re trying to keep me safe too). This is just an iPhone panorama.
What if horror movie icons were social media influencers for beer companies? That’s the idea behind this comedy collaboration my wife did a few years ago with Josh Hull. #sinfluencers
Practicing my real estate photography on a friend’s house. Just wish I’d brought my drone to get a higher angle.
The Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument in downtown Indy, viewed from the terrace at Regions Tower. #Photography
Lucas Oil Stadium, where the Indianapolis Colts play, from above. I shot this out the window of the Skyline Club in downtown Indy. The hardest part was blocking out all the light behind the lens so I didn’t get any reflections off the room behind me in the shot. I’m sure if you look close you’ll see a mistake though.
Dirt path through a field. Flying the drone for practice around some farms in Noblesville. #Photography
Had a chat with my friend Adam Mason the other day about not being romantic about the way you make money. You can watch it or listen at the link below. https://weddinghangover.com/episodes/2021/6/27/ep-181-devils-avocados-with-adam-mason-of-the-bearded-tog #Podcast
I love Dragon's Milk beer. They recently started selling the Solera version near me. It says it's a Foeder-Aged Ale and I have no idea what that means, but it tastes very good. Anyone know what a Foeder-Aged Ale means? #Beer
I like backlighting wedding dresses by hanging them in windows. It's one of my favorite ways to shoot the wedding dress in the morning.
Shooting through the couple to capture their reflection in the window behind them.
