As much as I envy and even accept Musk's new vision for Twitter, when it comes to the business aspect of things, I always have to side with the idea that "a toxic CEO distracts from the core value of the business." It's the same reason sometimes spin-offs make sense, because sometimes certain underlying businesses drag down the core business and the true value gets lost in the mix. I just think while Musk himself is not toxic, his mere presence is, and so long as he is in "the captain's chair," the course will be zigzaggy instead of on an efficient forward one. No matter who gets the job, Musk will of course be in the backdrop. But at least the decisions will appear to be coming from someone else.
He's toxic. He's a prime example of an internet troll. My opinion.
At the same time I think Twitter badly needed cleaning up. It was a playground for liberals where any conservative speech was literally banned. I agree Musk is not the answer. But fixing Twitter certainly is. That being said, I continue to ignore the site. I have never liked it, even before they started censoring.
Absolutely agree with the part he fixed Twitter. But he is an internet troll, nonetheless. It's also concerning how much this Twitter deal "might all be" politically based.
When was it not politically based? When you only ban conservative speech isn't that political? When you only censor news unfavorable to the left, isn't that political? When you only suspend or ban conservative accounts, isn't that political? I tend to think if Twitter had NOT been playing politics as much as it was and being unfair politically... Musk would have had no interest at all in buying the company.
He definitely has an interest. Not sure in what. Might just be some government support for his endeavors. It's just fun to watch. I am using Twitter on a daily basis nowadays, when I wasn't using it, at all, in the past. I'm just curious to see where this will end.
I wonder what government support he will get? The left hates him. lol. Because he took away their playground. But it IS fun to watch the whole thing to be honest. I never liked Twitter and have no interest in using it. Then or now.
I meant after the next election when I spoke about gov support. He does seem committed to bringing the Biden administration down.
The Biden administration is doing a good enough job of that all on their own. They don't need help. They can thank the supply chain disaster, the horrific pullout of Afghanistan, inflation not seen since the 1980s and myriad other things. The only thing he managed to do was make Obama look not so bad after all, even though many of the problems we have were the same with Obama, ended with Trump, and restarted with vigor with Biden. lol The Biden administration is a disaster worse than Carter—with the stark contrast being Carter had his mind. We're not even sure Biden even knows he IS president. lol
