Thank you for the head up @sp3ktraline! Thanks to you I'm the proud owner of a Creeping Ooze!!!! I needed this and now I could test it in battle and don't regret it!!!
I got 5 so far...
Oh wow! Well, that's very nice. It would be nice to have a level 6 or 10, but those are extremely expensive, and oh boy! how useful even in level 1 they are! I was from level 100 to 333 in a day!
Precisely, I wanna start leveling some cards. But for that I need summoners, first. And I don't think I will be able to get them to level up before the Chaos Legions packs arrive...
This one traded for a couple cent a year ago if I recall it right which makes it crazy that below 8$ feels like a steal. It is one of those cards that is really useful even at level 1, so I get why everyone would want to hold at least one of them.
Could you please explain why it's seen so valuable? I'm assuming because of the skill it has? Sorry can't check it out myself right now, I'm on mobile
Because of the player increase Splinterlands has seen. The number of minted copies remains the same, but the demand for it has increased dramatically.
It's going to be hard for players that come in later to get these older cards since they are fully printed and no more will ever get created. Cards collection also counts toward the SPS airdrop and they can be rented for passive DEC so not that many are willing to sell while demand is massive since the player base exploded. The card itself also is useful in low mana battles as it's a neutral 1 mana with good effects.
Thanks for explanation! I was specifically interested in the usefulness of the card and that's actually good to have such card.
I think you don't even have to go a whole year back, and just go back to April/May for it to be trading at $0,02.
crazy times :) Who knows it will come crashing down again once Chaos Legion releases and the massive cards shortage is over.
hmmm.. I doubt it, to be honest. They won't issue any more Oozes. Either not enough people adhere to the upcoming Wild format if it is implemented, or they will always be scarce from here on. That means they are unlikely to come crashing down to cents again. I'm actually hoping for the opposite, so please don't jinx me because I spent $30 on Ooze yesterday, lol.
