I have to accept the shame of ... not understanding this. Could you please elaborate? Is it meant to be sarcastic?
More like irony. Dark one, yes. Very dark one. If you truly don't understand, the concentration camps the Nazis were running to exterminate the jews were using gas chambers to do the killing. Therefore the "Germans turning on the gas" part of the "joke". We've dealth with worse gas issues in Europe before, if that makes sense. This Russian created one will come and go with minor setbacks.
Thanks a lot for taking the pain to explain in details. I just realized I couldn't connect the dots because of this one piece: "...the Nazis were running to exterminate the jews were using gas chambers..." it all makes sense now. Also yeah I agree that gas shortage from Russia is as good of an excuse for EU leadership as an actual problem to cover their incompetencies
