Congratulations to everyone connected to all the wonderful films that have been selected to be part of Carmarthen Bay Film Festival 2021; Wales Premier Film Festival (#CBFF2021).
The CBFF team have been delaying making any announcement about this year’s Festival in the hope that the current restrictions in the UK and the rest of the world, would ease sufficiently to allow an in-person festival to take place and that the many of indie film-making fans from around the world hoping to be able to come along would be able to do so. Unfortunately, once again this does not look possible and the difficult decision has been made to move CBFF2021 entirely online for this year.
This was to be a feature of #CBFF2021 anyway and the world leading online festival platform and CBFF partner Sparq, has been working with the CBFF team to enable viewers to experience the very best independent film-making wherever they are in the world. #ExcellenceShouldBeSeenOnScreen and now it will be on any screen; at home, at work, on the train, wherever one may be.
So, officially #CBFF2021 will be taking place from 17th to 20th May entirely online via its dedicated CBFF channel on the Sparq platform. More details regarding schedules, registration, etc. will be available regularly upon the CBFF Facebook page - www.facebook.com/carmarthenbayfilmfestival – like and subscribe to stay up to date with the latest CBFF news.
Next year, ‘Virus Crisis’ permitting, the festival will be returning to the Ffwrnes Theatre in Llanelli, Wales for #CBFF2022 when this year’s postponed 10th Anniversary party will form part of that year’s festivities. The plan is for this celebration to open the festival and for 2021 award winners to be able to receive their #CBFF2021 Awards in person. It will be a great way to welcome everyone back and put the past couple of years behind us all. However, this is for the future.
